Annotate PDF

Highlight, underline, comment, draw and stamp on any PDF, for studying, reviewing and approving. Free, private and in your browser.

Private by design: your files are processed on your own device and never uploaded.

Annotate PDF: free, private, no sign-up

Mark up a PDF the way you would on paper. Select text to highlight it in five colours, underline it or strike it out. Add sticky notes that are saved as real PDF comments, so your teacher, client or colleague sees them in Adobe Acrobat, Preview or Chrome.

Draw with a pen or marker, point at things with arrows, frame them with rectangles and circles, and stamp pages APPROVED, PAID, DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL. It is ideal for studying lecture notes, reviewing contracts, checking print proofs and giving feedback on designs.

Can I remove an annotation?

Yes. Click it and press Delete, or use Undo.

Is it free?
