Vinyl Decal Builder

Window, wall, vehicle and iron-on vinyl: design it, check it cuts cleanly, and get files for your machine.

Vinyl lettering and decals, ready for your cutting machine

The Pixel Print Co Vinyl Decal Builder is a free tool for designers, sign makers, crafters and business owners. Type your wording or upload your logo, choose the vinyl and your cutting machine, check that it will cut and weed cleanly, see it on a shop window, a van, a wall or a t-shirt, and download true-size cut files for Cricut, Silhouette, Brother or any vinyl plotter, with a cut and application guide.

What you can make

Window lettering

Business name, opening hours, phone, logo or a QR code for shop windows and glass doors, applied outside or inside the glass.

Wall decals

Lettering, quotes and logos for offices, cafes and salons, in removable vinyl that is gentle on painted walls.

Vehicle lettering

Name, phone and logo for cars, vans and trucks, in long-life cast vinyl made for curves.

Iron-on (HTV)

T-shirts, hoodies, bags and uniforms, cut mirrored for you and pressed with heat.

Cut stickers and labels

For products, laptops and boxes, single or layered colours, with many copies laid out to save vinyl.

Made for designers: files for every machine

The right file for your software

SVG for Cricut Design Space and Brother CanvasWorkspace, DXF for Silhouette Studio, PDF, EPS and DXF for sign software. True size, one layer per colour.

Split to fit your machine

Too wide or too long for your cutter? It is split into panels with a 1/2" overlap, both ways when needed.

Weeding box and registration

A weeding box around every piece, and registration squares in every colour so layered designs line up.

Cut and weed check

The thinnest part in millimetres, the number of pieces, tiny parts that may be lost, and how hard it will be to weed.

Copies laid out for you

Need 50 stickers? They are nested on the roll, turned when that saves vinyl, with the length you need per colour.

Guide in every download

How to open the file in your program and check its size, and how to apply it on glass, walls, vehicles or fabric.

How it works

  1. Choose what you are making: window, wall, vehicle, iron-on or sticker.
  2. Type the wording in one of 59 fonts, or upload your logo (SVG, PDF, AI, PNG or JPG).
  3. Set the size, down to 1/4" lettering.
  4. Pick the vinyl, the side of the glass, your cutting machine and the number of copies.
  5. See it in place, then download your cut files and guide, or ask us to make it.

Questions and answers

Which cutting machines does it make files for?

Cricut Joy, Joy Xtra, Explore 3 and 4, Maker 3, 4 and 5 and Venture; Silhouette Portrait, Cameo 5, Cameo 5 Plus and Cameo Pro; Brother ScanNCut; and vinyl plotters from 15" to 60" (Roland, Graphtec, Summa and others). You can also enter the cutting width of any other machine.

Which file format do I need?

Cricut Design Space and Brother CanvasWorkspace: SVG. Silhouette Studio: DXF, because the free Basic Edition does not open SVG files. Sign software such as FlexiSIGN, SignMaster, VinylMaster or CutStudio: PDF, EPS or DXF. The builder picks the right one for your machine, and every format is available.

Are the files true to size?

Yes. Every file is 1:1 in inches, with one layer per colour. The guide tells you exactly what size to check when you open it.

What if my design is bigger than my machine?

It is split into panels that overlap by half an inch, across and along the machine when needed, so every piece fits your cutting width and length. The guide explains how to line the panels up.

Do I need to mirror iron-on (HTV) designs?

Iron-on vinyl and window lettering applied inside the glass must be cut mirrored. The builder mirrors the file for you and marks it, so you must not mirror it again in your software.

What is the smallest lettering I can cut?

Letters of about 1/2" can be cut, but 3/4" or more is much easier to weed and apply. The builder measures the thinnest part of your design and warns you when parts are under 1 to 2 mm.

Can I upload my own logo?

Yes. An SVG logo is used exactly as drawn, for perfect cut lines. PDF and AI files and large PNG or JPG images are converted to clean vector shapes, one layer per colour.

How do I line up a design with several colours?

Every colour gets the same weeding box and four small registration squares in the same places. Apply the first colour, then lay each next colour so its squares sit exactly on the first ones.

Can I cut many copies at once?

Yes. Enter how many copies you need and they are laid out on the vinyl, turned when that saves material. The builder tells you how much roll each colour needs.

Can Pixel Print Co make it for me?

Yes. Ask for a free quote in one tap: we cut and weed it, and can install window, wall and vehicle lettering.
