### How many centimetres are in an inch?
Exactly 2.54 cm. So to turn inches into centimetres multiply by 2.54, and to turn centimetres into inches divide by 2.54.

### How do I read a decimal inch on a tape measure?
Tape measures in North America are marked in fractions: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 of an inch. The converter rounds any length to the nearest 1/8, 1/16 or 1/32 inch, so 10 cm shows as 3 15/16 inches.

### What is gsm, and how does it compare to lb paper weight?
