## Questions

### Is the AI Image Upscaler really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you upscale. It runs on your own device, so it costs us nothing to run.

### Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is processed in your browser. Only the AI model and the engine are downloaded (once, then kept by your browser); your picture never leaves your computer or phone.

### How big can I make an image?
Up to 8 times bigger, or to any print size such as 24 × 36 inches at 300 DPI. On a computer the result can be up to about 100 megapixels, on phones about 20 to 30, depending on the memory of the device.

### Photo or Art & graphics: which should I choose?
Photo is trained for real photos of people, products and places. Art & graphics is better for drawings, cartoons, logos and images with flat colours and sharp lines. Try both on the same image and keep the one you prefer.

### Why does it take longer on some devices?
When your browser can use the graphics card (WebGPU, in recent Chrome, Edge and Safari), upscaling takes seconds. Otherwise it uses the processor, which can take a few minutes for large images.

### Can it make blurry text or tiny faces readable?
AI upscaling adds believable detail, but it cannot recover information that is not in the picture. Very small text and distant faces may come out different from the real thing. For logos, a vector file from our PNG to SVG Converter stays perfectly sharp at any size.
